I created the deer sculpture on the occasion of the renewal and commemoration of the Nadějkovska trails. The sculpture stands in the open landscape, surveying its surroundings, and will remain in place until it naturally decays. The trails and the event "Svatováclavská potulka" are organized by the civic association Zachovalý kraj, which focuses on activist projects in the field of cultural landscape preservation.

For the sculpture, I used a fallen tree from the castle garden. I created the sculpture on the spot where the tree had fallen and later installed it nearby in the open landscape near Kaliště. I employed traditional carpentry joints, which are part of the cultural landscape, although I also invented one joint myself. I experimented with different variations of joints and sculptural forms on models, which might even resemble toys. There are many possibilities, depending primarily on how the branches and trunks I used had grown.
